Congratulations goes out to Rachael Batchu Mahmood, Ed.D. (BA ’04, Elementary Education) who is among 15 finalists in the running to be the 2024 Illinois Teacher of the Year. Dr. Mahmood is a fifth-grade teacher at Georgetown Elementary School and received a Rising Star Award from BenU in 2022.
