2024-2025 Housing Application & Room Selection

Students may access the housing application through the Housing Portal by logging in with their BenU email (bnumber@ben.edu) and password. The 2024-2025 Housing Contract Campaign application and roommate selection begins via the Housing Portal on March 11.

The Housing Portal is the official online resident portal. The portal allows new and returning residential students to access and manage communication, housing applications, housing agreements, roommate requests, room selection, and assignment information. Residents are encouraged to become acquainted with the portal as it will serve as the “go-to place” for an on-campus resident.

Before completing a housing application or participating in the room selection process, please review the important information below.

Returning + Transfer Students | Housing Portal Opens: Friday, March 15

2023-2024 Continuing (Returning) Student Housing FAQ Housing Portal Finding Potential Roommates / Creating a Roommate Group Accepting a Roommate Group Request

Room-selection is a separate process within the Housing Portal that allows students to self-select their housing assignment during the designated Room Selection Placement scheduled dates.

 

Rising Seniors/Graduate Students: Monday, April 8
Current residents classified as seniors in fall 2024 can participate in priority placement to self-select and assign confirmed roommate(s) to housing on the Rising Senior Room Selection Day.

Rising Juniors: Tuesday, April 9
Current residents classified as juniors in fall 2024 can participate in priority placement to self-select and assign confirmed roommate(s) to housing on the Rising Junior Room Selection day.

Rising Sophomore: Wednesday, April 10
Current residents classified as sophomores in fall 2024 can participate in priority placement to self-select and assign confirmed roommate(s) to housing on the Rising Sophomore Room Selection day.

Returning Freshmen: Friday, April 12
Current residents classified as sophomores in fall 2024 can participate in priority placement to self-elect and assign confirmed roommate(s) to Ondrak/Jaeger halls on the Returning Freshmen Room Selection day.

Open to All: Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19
All students, including commuter and incoming transfer students, will have an opportunity to self-select and assign confirmed roommate(s) during the Open to All Room Selection Dates.

May 1st – Room Selection Ends for Current Students

New Students Housing Portal Opens: Monday, June 3

Room-selection is a separate process within the Housing Portal that allows students to self-select their housing assignment during Room Selection.

 

New Students: Monday, June 3 – All new incoming students will have an opportunity to self-select and assign confirmed roommate to a space.

Transfer Students*: Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 –  All transfer students will have an opportunity to self-select and assign confirmed roommate to a space along with our returning and continuing students.

How to access the Housing Portal

  1. Log in using your student ID number and password.
  2. Click Resident Login, then select the applicable entry term.
  3. Work through each step of the application, following specific instructions on each page. Select Save and Continue at the bottom of each page to move to the next step.

Housing application questions may be directed to Residence Life at housing@ben.edu. Students may also stop by Krasa Student Center, Suite 112 for more information.
